*1982, Blankenburg/Harz, Germany
Taking its subject matter from where suburbia meets the natural landscape, the work of Claas Gutsche is concerned with the human living space as an alien, unsafe space, in which what is behind the curtain of an ideal world can sometimes be more threatening than the world outside. According to this interest in narration Gutsche´s graphic works are often dark linocuts or detailed objects in bronze, combined with lost things. The artist lives and works in Berlin.
